I am a Royal Conservatory certified piano instructor, a piano player and songwriter.
I have been teaching for over 20 years. My students range from beginner to advanced, aged 5 to 65.
I prefer to teach students to read music using various teaching books and methods including the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum. I encourage and prepare my students for exams at the Royal Conservatory and most of my students achieve First Class Honours.
I also teach students to understand music theory and to apply their knowledge to play pop, jazz, rock or any other style of music on the piano.
I teach in the student’s home or on line using Zoom.
I am accepting new students of any level, age or ability, regardless of your ambition whether it’s to learn or continue learning how to read music, learn about music theory or learn to play classical, pop, rock, blues, or jazz.
I have been playing piano for over 40 years, professionally for over 30 years.
I play solo shows, with a partner as a duo, or a band of any size to suit the event. My repertiore ranges from classical piano and jazz to rock and pop.
I have been songwriting for over 30 years. I have performed my songs with various bands over the years, and have published a few on my YouTube channel, and will be releasing my first solo album soon.
